How to Get Medkits in Animal Hospital

Medkits are essential for keeping patients alive. Here is every way to get them.

Medkit Types

Medkit

Full-size medkit. Restores a moderate amount of health to yourself or a patient. Available from vending machines and some locker spawns.

Small Medkit

Budget healing item. Restores a small amount of health. Cheaper than a full Medkit but less effective. Good for topping off health.

Where to Get Medkits

Vending Machines

The most reliable source. Vending machines are located in the break room (Floor 1) and near the patient rooms (Floor 2). Medkits cost cash earned during the shift. Small Medkits are cheaper and fine for minor healing.

Lockers

Floor 2 lockers sometimes contain Small Medkits. Check the hallway near Room 201 and the staff office. Requires the Floor 2 Key Card for the office locker.

Shop (Between Shifts)

The Shopkeeper Nurse sells consumables between shifts. While she does not sell Medkits directly, you can stock up on cash-earning items to afford vending machines mid-shift.

Class Perks

Head Nurse (Level 3) starts each round with all basic items, including Medkits. Surgeon restores sanity through healing, making every Medkit more valuable. These classes reduce your reliance on vending machines.

Medkit Tips

  • Keep at least 2 Medkits in your inventory at all times.
  • Prioritize healing critical patients (low health) over full-health patients.
  • Small Medkits are cost-effective for minor damage — save full Medkits for emergencies.
  • If a patient dies, the Ghost spawns. Medkits save lives and prevent ghost encounters.
  • Playing co-op? Assign one player to farm Medkits while others handle check-in. See the Multiplayer guide for team roles.
